Are You Positioned?

By

Hi! I am so excited to share the revelation I got with you today. I really love those small moments that are life’s jewels for our minds. Really all you have to do is pay attention and you will get the lesson. That is exactly what happened to me today. See, I am an adventurous woman that sees the glass half full. I like to think I take life by the horns and just go! I really like to shatter the box concept altogether. I am open minded and love being free. That all sounds good on paper and I always say it, but am I really living free? Ever since the beginning of my adulthood, I can remember being concerned about money, where I would live, will my girls have everything they need, will we have enough food, etc. I had gotten free from being broken, confused, and disillusioned in my past, but never truly got free financially. Yes, I have had some levels of comfort. Not true freedom. I really want to know what that feels like. No worries. Well, during this pandemic, I got a taste of what that feels like. I really had no worries as it pertains to my finances, and it felt GOOD!

Well, today I went on a business meeting with an elderly couple that I personally know. They had a wealth of knowledge, and I was more than willing to listen. I went through a financial presentation with them that was more enlightening to me than to them. I would say it was around mid presentation the wife stated we’re good, we have money in our savings, we have a will, and we’re set financially. She went on to say we get thousands of dollars between the two of us, and we have no debts. Our home is paid off and so is both of our cars. That’s when the light bulb hit me in the head. I wanted to know more. I wanted to know exactly how they got to that point. Well to sum it up, they positioned themselves for that level of success. They literally had no worries. They traveled whenever they wanted. Life is a breeze. Wouldn’t you like that?

The wife then shared with me that she worked with the school district consistently for 30 plus years. So, now she receives her Social Security benefits and her retirement. The husband is a retired veteran and he also receives his Veterans Retirement Benefits with a check per month and his social security. Wow! They literally have to do nothing.

I know you’ve heard the saying, “The sky is the limit.” I love the saying. But, depending on how you position yourself in life will determine how you live life and where you set your limits. If you truly believe that the sky is the limit, then you can conquer anything! When we are young and in high school we hear our elders tell us about some smart financial moves to make. Some of us listen, but if you’re like me, you have to play catch up. That’s okay. If you still have breath in your body it’s not too late to get up and reach the place you want to be. It’s not too late to set yourself up for a successful life overall. Like that couple we discussed, it’s never too late to be successful even at retirement.

Now, ask yourself, “Are you positioned?” Are you ready for whatever life may bring? Proactively Make money, invest in your 401 K, buy life insurance, save, pay all debts off, invest in stocks, work jobs that work for you (that have retirement), invest in good health insurance, have multiple incomes, etc. Do these things while you are younger, so all this will work for you when you get older. I know this blog post is not much, but this really blessed me today. It’s over 84% of Americans that don’t have proper financial guidance. Some don’t even have the pleasure to see a proper example. For some, the system is not made for them to win. I feel if we educate ourselves and be proactive we can set ourselves free. Do not wait on anyone. The sky is the limit only if you think so.

Get educated! Please ask any questions if you need assistance in how to move forward.

Happy Living Precious Jewel!
