Wow! It’s August already and it seems that 2020 has been filled with difficult test and trials for all of us. Who would imagine we would be living the way we are today? Masks, social distancing, jobs closing, family sick or dying, etc. It’s crazy, I know! The holy spirit dropped a bomb on me in all this, and I want to share with you. Here goes! In August, let’s get proactive instead of reactive. Thats a message in itself. I will go into more detail. Let me give you a background story 1st.

Time for a RESET!

I was asked this question on a social media group platform, “What has the Pandemic time done for you?” I was ready because I had been pondering this the whole time. So, I will share the same sentiments with you. I expressed that, that through this pandemic I’ve experienced so many blessings personally. I was able to save money! I was also able to spend time on things that needed my attention such as: My relationship with God, my children, my family, my health, my businesses, my credit, and finances. I took this Pandemic by storm! When we got to May, it wasn’t so good. Although I had personal victories and prayers answered, my family was hit hard. I lost my Daddy on May 29, 2020. That was by far the hardest thing I’ve had to heal from and it’s still a continuous process. I found that in that trauma the best life lesson was birthed. Live life with no regrets and to the fullest! Love God and love people! Always maintain good health overall. My Daddy taught me that through the way he lived! His smile said it all!

So, fast forward to today. Hello August! It’s time for a reset. Life can bring negatives, but how you choose to develop them is up to you. Let August be the month to catapult greatness for the rest of this year. We are told what boundaries we have to stay safe and alive. Now, make the most of what you do have a what you can do.

What Can We Reset This Month?

Mentally

Taking care of your mental health is the most important gift you can give yourself. Your mind has to be healthy for you to have a healthy life. In this Pandemic, you can choose to complain about what you don’t have or what you can’t do, or reset your thoughts. Life brings many negatives and how you choose to develop them is up to you. Wake up in the Word of God and reciting affirmations that will positively charge your day! See how your life changes. Make sure to take at least 30 minutes in your day to just think and clear out the junk.

Physically

This is the perfect time to get physically fit! What a better time then now to tackle those lost new year resolution lists. Your future self will thank you for it. Besides, who doesn’t like to glow up! We also know this virus is fatal to those who are unhealthy. Drink Green tea, take vitamins, eat healthy and natural, and exercise. Start small, but start! Socially

I know it’s kind of crazy to talk about being social and we all have to social distance. Truthfully, we are social beings and it’s healthy that we do. I couldn’t imagine going through this when I was growing up. We would be bored out our minds. Now, on the other hand, we have different social media platforms, facetime, zoom, netflix, hulu, etc. This alone is keeping us entertained. I know this gets boring too, but there are alternatives. I still go to church and it’s outside. I go to the store and out to eat with my mask on and sanitizer on me at all times. I Zoom conference my friends periodically. Whatever you do, don’t do this pandemic alone. Have a healthy social life and be safe!

Financially

This Pandemic has brought about different financial circumstances. I can’t speak on just one. I know for me personally I have stacked money, invested, and worked on my businesses. It has truly been a blessing for my family. We were able to reset and get ahead. I also have seen so many new businesses start! People are really taking advantage. If you have a business you want to start, this is the perfect time depending on the market you’re going in. I’ve also seen where people have had enough time to actively work on their credit. This is the time, especially if you’re out of work.

Spiritually

We need God in this time like we’ve never needed him before! Our spirit man need to be conditioned and strengthened in this time. I found myself wanting to give into sexual lust alot more now then ever. I had to fight. There are some tools ladies to get strength spiritually and to fight. Fasting, praying, reading God’s word. That’s it! That’s what helped me. I did intermittent fasting and I’m glad I did. I wanted to get closer to God and have my ear sensitive to Him. This is what did it. You have to be careful what you entertain even movies. God wants to commune with you and replenish you for your next.

Proactive vs. Reactive

These steps to reset is your way to be proactive. A person that is proactive prepares for life and counteracts the bad with positive. A reactive person waits or procrastinates till something happens and then reacts to the event. We have the tools and understanding to live proactive stress free lives. What will you do with that knowledge?
